System 1

This is the chain guide that started it all. Literally. Sandwich style, the System 1 gets it done with a guide ring inboard and outboard of your chainring. It’s super simple and extremely reliable. Frequently imitated, never duplicated, the original System 1 is still one of Steve Peat’s favorites. Designed primarily for frames with elevated chainstays (may require longer BB spindle).

System 2

Designed to add an element of adjustability and compatibility, the System 2 uses a stationary, open inner ring to allow use of large chainrings on bikes that have a chainstay in the standard position, without having to install a longer bottom bracket.
